PURPOSE:
To reduce catheter-related infections caused by colonization of the skin around the penetration site and contamination introduced
through frequent handling of the hub
SYSTEM:
The Ultra-Clean™ Catheter Care System is comprised of a flash-based UV “Puck”, used in conjunction with two disposable components:
- A proprietary UV transmissive dressing
- An adhesive backed catheter immobilizing “bridge” which is designed to create a light seal around the catheter
- Hub disinfection is achieved with an adapter to the “Puck”
